Award for Disability Service

This award recognizes exceptional leadership beyond the scope of an individual’s job, area of research, or student training in furthering the goal of achieving awareness and equity for the disabled community within the UCSF community.

Individuals who excel in one or more of the following are eligible to be nominated for this award:

• promoting and advancing mutual respect, understanding, and appreciation for people with disabilities within our campus community;
• promoting and advancing the recruitment and hiring/admission of people with disabilities in our campus community;
• promoting and advancing the retention and career mentoring of people with disabilities in our campus community;
• assisting in ensuring an equal opportunity to career advancement for people with disabilities in our campus community;
• and/or encouraging the participation of people with disabilities in campus committees, activities, and events.
